The Best Energy Healing for Your Home

You can do all the smoke cleansing, crystal gridding, and other energy-healing techniques on your home, but if you are not energetically cleansed—if you are unconsciously allowing spirits or entities to attach to you—and you don’t have an energetic hygiene routine in place, you may constantly feel like there is something wrong with your home.
It all starts with you.
You know the saying, “fight your demons”? Well, they are your demons. What I mean by this is that we can sometimes create energy around us that feels like something external is attacking or disturbing us, when in reality, it may be something we are generating ourselves. If we have vivid imaginations, hyperactive nervous systems, and experience intense emotions, this can increase the likelihood of creating energetic imprints around us that reflect what we’re thinking and feeling.
Our overall state of being directly influences the kind of energy we bring into—and cultivate within—our living spaces. I’ve had several clients believe something was wrong with their property because they could never fully relax or feel at peace, only to later discover that they themselves were the source of the discomfort and had been unknowingly projecting it onto their environment. Often, these clients are also carrying energy that isn’t even theirs. When we come home, that energy can linger and attach to both us and our space. It’s like bringing several animals into your home and allowing them to roam freely, making themselves comfortable wherever they choose.
Additionally, when someone has accumulated unprocessed emotions, avoids unhealed wounds, or maintains unhealthy and unmanaged habits, this can create tears or weaknesses in the aura. These vulnerabilities can make a person more susceptible to spirit or entity attachments.
When this happens, individuals may experience unusual or paranormal activity in the home, persistent unease, fatigue, or a general feeling of not being themselves. Because we spend so much time at home, it’s easy to blame the energy of the space for what is actually being experienced due to what we’ve consciously or unconsciously allowed into our own energy field. If someone has lived with these attachments for a long time, it can also be difficult to accept that the issue may be manifesting through them rather than the home itself.
What I recommend is taking time to reflect on whether what you’re experiencing is truly the energy of your home, an emotion in you that needs acknowledgment and or healing, or the energy you’re carrying from someone or something else. If it’s the latter, here are some energetic hygiene routines I suggest.
Use the Earth
Before stepping into your home after work, social gatherings, or errands, stomp your feet on the ground a few times to shake off any energy that may be clinging to you. You can also stand on the earth—barefoot if possible—and imagine the energy melting off of your body and being magnetized deep into the ground.
Use a mantra such as: “I release any energy that is not mine and send it into the earth.”
You can also brush your head, shoulders, arms, sides, and legs with your hands. Do this as many times as needed.
Smoke, Sprays, and Crystals
Before entering your home, cleanse your body with a smudge wand to clear any energetic debris you may have picked up. If you prefer not to burn herbs, use a cleansing spray (Angie Fisher’s Reiki-infused room sprays are wonderful—link here to buy) or Florida Water.
You can also use a selenite wand to gently brush energy down and away from your aura. Keep a selenite stick near or above your entryway, along with black obsidian, to help prevent unwanted energy from coming into the home.
Sound
Sound is another effective and accessible way to cleanse your energy. I personally enjoy using a singing bowl—gently striking it while taking a slow, deep breath in and out. Drumming is also a powerful option. If you have a drum, play it for a few moments while breathing deeply to help reset your energy.
Showers and Baths
Salt baths and showers are excellent for cleansing the aura. The key is intention. As you bathe, actively imagine and feel the energy washing off your body and flowing down the drain.
Reflecting and Healing
Developing awareness around unprocessed emotions, unhealed wounds, and unhealthy habits is essential. I can’t stress this enough. These areas can act as gateways for other energies to attach. We will never be perfectly healed—and that’s okay—but approaching our healing with compassion, love, understanding, and persistence goes a long way in strengthening our aura and reducing susceptibility to attachments.
When we cultivate a loving relationship with all parts of ourselves—especially the unhealed or “scary” parts—that harmony naturally reflects into our environment. You can’t reflect what you’re not the vibration of.
If you’re doing deep healing work at home, be sure to cleanse your space afterward so that any released energy doesn’t linger in your environment.
